Pediatric Anesthesiology

Children’s Hospital of Michigan (CHM), founded in 1886, is the only freestanding hospital in Michigan dedicated exclusively to caring for children. It is a 228-bed hospital whose emergency room treats more than 92,000 children annually.   The Children’s Hospital pediatric anesthesiology fellowship has been accredited since 1962. Anesthesia is provided for over 15,000 surgeries each year.  An active acute pain service, chronic pain clinic as well as a 32-bed NICU and a 20-bed PICU provide fellows with a well-rounded and clinically excellent pediatric anesthesia experience.  The teaching faculty is comprised of 15 pediatric anesthesiologists, all of whom are board certified.  The fellowship can be tailored according to interest.
