Student Nurse Associate Program

Please note: We will not be hiring SNA's for December. Do not apply at this time. Please revisit our website at the beginning of 2012 for updated hiring periods.

Student Nurse Associate Job Opportunities at Children’s Hospital of Michigan

The opportunity to work as a Student Nurse Associate (SNA) while attending Nursing school is a chance to grow and expand your nursing knowledge before you transition into the Registered Nurse role. As a student nurse at CHM you would work side-by-side with the Nursing staff, assisting them with nursing practices and procedures, while getting a close up glimpse of what the daily routine of a RN on the unit is like. Being a SNA is beneficial because it helps provide a smoother transition into the nursing role, especially if you end up becoming a RN on the same unit. If you are interested in working as a nurse at CHM, I highly recommend applying for a SNA position because this experience will better prepare you for what it’s like to work in a Pediatric, Family Centered Care environment.

Eligibility

To be eligible for consideration, applicant must have graduated from high school or have a GED. You must also be enrolled in an accredited nursing program and have completed at least 2 clinical rotations, with one being in a medical/surgical environment.
