As the only Transplant Center in metropolitan Detroit exclusively servicing pediatric patients, Children’s Hospital of Michigan, part of the Detroit Medical Center, has a long history of providing lifesaving transplant services for children in need. The transplant program combines the expertise of nationally recognized medical and surgical experts on the medical staff who are specially trained in pediatric transplantation.
Patients and their families who experience the services of the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Transplant Center will encounter a child-friendly environment designed to put children, teens and their parents at ease. While the primary goal is improving children’s health and saving lives through transplantation, significant time and resources are also devoted to the emotional, psychological and financial needs of patients and their families.
