Welcome to the Children’s Hospital of Michigan where all we know and everything we do is just for them.



Stop at the Welcome Center for a warm greeting and a visitor or family pass.



Admitting and Outpatient Registration and Best Upon Request Concierge Service are all located in the lobby for patients and their families.

 

Our lobby features the Red Wings Play Zone with ample seating, educational electronic games and a familiar Zamboni.

 

Children try out the equipment in the Red Wings Play zone.

Families will find the Piston’s Reading Court in our lobby
which features ample seating for reading and electronic learning games for children.

 

Children’s Outpatient Pharmacy is conveniently located under the striped awning in the lobby. Be sure to stop by for prescriptions before you leave the hospital.



Jack’s Tree House is a supervised activity center for siblings of Children’s patients.

There is always a lot to do in Jack's Tree House.



The Safety Store at Children’s features items to keep kids safe, from helmets to car seats to smoke alarms
– an entire store and staff focused on teaching kids and families how to stay safe.

Children’s Cafeteria offers ample seating both indoors and outside on the patio.

Children’s Hospital of Michigan’s Healing Garden provides a pleasant outdoor retreat for patients, families and visitors.



The Healing Garden features winding walkways and bench seating.



Colorful concrete insets, hand-imprinted tile walls and lush greenery are featured in the Healing Garden.

A helpful receptionist ensures families needs are met while they await word from the doctor.



The child-friendly pediatric specialty center in the Carls Ambulatory Building features many specialty treatment clinics just for kids.



The Family Center down the hall from Neonatal and Intensive Care is a welcome refuge for families.



Families can also sleep and shower in the Family Center and
use televisions and computers during their child’s stay at Children’s.



The Family Center features Red Wings décor and offers a dining area.



Patients staying over night in the hospital often spend time playing and learning in Children's Activity Centers.

Volunteers and Child Life Staff play and teach children in activity centers for patients.



Pediatric Imaging Services including the PET center also features an under the sea theme.

Children enjoy the aquarium with the big fish in the Emergency Department.
