Introduction:
In collaboration with Henry Ford/Bi-County Hospital, Children's Hospital of Michigan offers the Osteopathic candidate the opportunity to fulfill both the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) criteria for the osteopathic internship and the Osteopathic pediatric residency while fulfilling the criteria for the American Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) criteria for the Pediatric Residency. At the end of the three year residency program the resident is eligible for both the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Osteopathic Pediatrics and will receive both a certificate of residency from Children's Hospital of Michigan and Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine/ Henry Ford/ Bi-County.
Curriculum:
During the first year of residency the intern will spend 3 of their 12 months at Henry Ford/ Bi-County Hospital rotating one month in the following rotations: Internal Medicine, OBGYN clinic and General Surgery. During those rotations the intern will be assigned night call at Henry Ford/Bi-County Hospital. The remainder of the 9 months the individual will be assigned to Children's Hospital of Michigan for rotations and night call. At the end of the first year the intern will have met the criteria for the AOA pediatric track internship. Years 2 and 3 of residency the resident will be exclusively at Children's Hospital of Michigan.

- Qualified applicants will be interviewed during the late fall months (October/November) at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
