DMC CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF MICHIGAN MANAGER APPOINTED BY GOVERNOR
Gov. Rick Snyder has appointed Patrisha Mervenne, clinical manager, Rehabilitation Services, DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan, to the Michigan Board of Speech Language Pathology. The 11-member board will assist the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs with regulating the licensure and practice of speech-language pathologists. Mervenne’s appointment becomes the second time since December of last year for a DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan pediatric experts to be tapped by Michigan’s Governor to serve.
“We are very proud of Patrisha’s appointment, which is ultimately a reflection of the dedication and commitment she has to patients and families in our rehabilitation clinic.” said Herman Gray, MD, MBA, president, DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
With Children’s Hospital of Michigan since 1991, prior to her current role Mervenne held the position of speech language pathologist at the hospital. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Marquette University in Wisconsin.
Appointees to the Michigan Board of Speech Language Pathology will serve four-year terms that expire Dec. 31, 2016. Appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
