The division of Rheumatology at Children's Hospital of Michigan at the Detroit Medical Center sees patients up to late teenage or early adulthood with autoimmune or potential autoimmune diseases. Rheumatoid arthritis, Behcet's disease, dermatomyositis, periodic fever syndrome, scleroderma, lupus, also called systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), vasculitis, are among the conditions seen and treated. Individualized treatment plans provide the patient with the best chance of a normal outcome. Children's Hospital of Michigan also offers a Lupus Support Group through the Michigan Lupus Foundation.
