The mission of the Pediatric Trauma Center at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan is to provide exceptional services to injured children and their families. The staff works diligently with various departments to ensure all injured pediatric patients receive optimal care.
Trauma Center Goals include:
- Care along the continuum of wellness from acute injury through rehabilitation
- Community based-injury prevention
- Educational opportunities and collaboration for professionals from pre-hospital to recovery
The Trauma Center at the Children's Hospital of Michigan is a participating member of the State of Michigan Region 2 South State Trauma System, Regional Disaster Network and Detroit East Medical Control Authority.
Children’s Hospital of Michigan’s Pediatric Trauma Center takes pride in providing leadership in providing community based injury prevention and pediatric continuing education for healthcare professionals throughout southeast Michigan. The staff conducts, evaluates and disseminates evidence based research and outcomes regionally, nationally and internationally.
Children’s Hospital of Michigan Trauma Services complies with the American College of Surgeon’s standards providing for optimal trauma care.
