Alumni Spotlight

The nationally-recognized Children’s Hospital of Michigan DMC is a sought-after teaching facility that attracts residents and fellows nationally and internationally to its training and teaching programs, fueling the pediatric work force. The Children’s Hospital of Michigan graduates are successful general pediatricians and pediatric subspecialists practicing throughout the United States and even overseas.

Many of our residents have chosen to stay at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan for their post-graduate training or to begin their careers in hospital medicine or outpatient general pediatrics. Some of our recent graduates and current residents have matched into various fellowships, from critical care, cardiology and hematology/oncology to gastroenterology, child abuse/advocacy pediatrics and emergency medicine at the following institutions: Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Emory University, Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (UPMC), and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
