The Dental Department at the Children's Hospital of Michigan includes specialists on staff in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, orthodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics and endodontics. For decades the department has been focused on providing services to medically and psychologically handicapped children, including those with oral clefts and facial anomalies, medical disorders and mental impairments. Routine clinical care is offered, as is care under sedation and general anesthesia.
